Press release -

Sigma IT Consulting and Telia in collaboration to digitize health care

Telia, Digital Health and Sigma IT Consulting start a collaboration to offer private and public healthcare providers a wide range of e-health services and digital care for patients on a distance. The partnership helps solve the need for digital conversion in health care.

Telia and Sigma IT Consulting have worked in parallel for several years to digitize healthcare in order to introduce new modern technologies for a more efficient way of working. Now, the work is taken one step further with the start of a partnership to increase the focus on decentralized and resource-efficient care with a focus on the patient.

Healthcare will be widely affected by digitization and undergo major changes over the next 20 years. Digital systems create completely new conditions and opportunities to improve healthcare, while increasing patient safety, digital sustainability and efficiency.

– The partnership aims to take a more comprehensive approach to the forthcoming change in health care, which will be huge for county councils, which requires suppliers of products, innovation, integration, project management and implementation support. Telia and Sigma IT Consulting together want to create a clear partner that is involved in the change journey and takes overall responsibility for county councils and private healthcare providers. With the help of digital solutions, we engage the patient, create a better care experience and ultimately provide better results for the patient. Our solutions also provide care teams with an opportunity to increase productivity and efficiency, explains Nina Bake, Telia.

– We are incredibly pleased with the cooperation with Telia. Together we will be able to present a complete offer to the caregivers, which we have not seen from any other player in the market. We will be able to provide a high level of quality of life for patients, while offering care providers an opportunity to improve patient interaction and follow-up. This may mean that the need for physical meetings at hospitals and health centers is sharply reduced, says David Österlindh, Sigma IT Consulting.

Together with partners, Telia can accelerate the introduction of new innovative digital services for caregivers and patients. Telia focuses on building a portfolio of digital services for self-care and care at a distance, making them scalable for both private and public healthcare. Combined with Sigma's strengths as a leading IT consultant supplier of tailored digital solutions and business change for healthcare, the collaboration creates good conditions for tomorrow's healthcare.
