In November, 3,243,000 passengers flew to or from Swedavia’s ten airports, a decrease of nearly two per cent compared to the same month last year. During the period January-November, there were a total of 39,051,000 passengers, the same level as last year.

The number of passengers who flew to or from Swedavia’s ten airports in September 2018 was 3,766,000 which is a 2 per cent decrease compared to the same period last year. International passenger volume was essentially unchanged, with 2,577,000 passengers, while domestic volume was down 7 per cent to 1,189,000.

The Scanian of the Year 2018, named by the readers of the Swedish daily Kvällsposten, is the favourite of the whole of Sweden – “Granen”, Andreas Granqvist. Today he was on hand at Malmö Airport along with airport director Peter Weinhandl, who unveiled the football player’s portrait, which will greet all visitors to Scania in the Welcome to My Hometown gallery.

The number of passengers who flew to or from Swedavia’s ten airports in August 2018 was 3,869,000, which is a 1 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. International passenger volume was up 2 per cent to 2,782,000 while domestic volume was down 1 per cent to 1,088,000.

Swedevia has signed an agreement with Securitas in providing security services at Göteborg Landvetter Airport starting 1 May 2019. Göteborg Landvetter Airport is Sweden’s second largest airport, with about seven million passengers a year.

A green flight demonstration was arranged today at Oxford Aviation Academy – flights that are green all the way from take-off at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport to landing at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. Through modern technology and improved co-operation, the new way of flying reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 100-165 kg per flight, and is being carried out under the Green Connection partnership.
