MARK SULTAN (BBQ) Kicks Off UK Tour Behind New Solo Album

Mark Sultan has toured North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Israel and everywhere in between. People like Jon Spencer and Bradford Cox have covered his songs. His voice is often cited as being one of the finest rock'n'roll voices of today, and has been called 'patient zero' as a main influence in the modern garage/doo-wop sound.

A cult figure, an underrated gem, and sorcerer, Mark continues to hammer out top-shelf releases and songs while touring incessantly, his live act said to sound and feel like 'a haunted stereo playing pirate radio, complete with all of the static and anticipation'. Some have also said: 'The best one-man band going, absolutely devoid of insincerity or gimmick', and: 'pure magic'."

His new album "Let Me Out", released on Dirty Water Records in the UK/Europe and Modern Sky in the US/Canada, is a mark of his brilliance; he composed, performed, and recorded the entire album himself.

Mark returns to the UK for a 10-date tour starting Thursday 29 November in Edinburgh. He plays the Dirty Water Club in London on Saturday 7 December with special guests The Jack Cades , along with fast-rising young up-starts, The Shadracks!

It’s hard to wrap your head around because while you may not necessarily know Mark Sultan by name, you are most certainly familiar with his sound. Which is all to say that by the time you listen to his full album Let Me Out, (out today on Modern Sky USA/Dirty Water Records/Burger Records) it will feel a little like coming home after a long trip.
