'Esvagt Njord' in Stavanger during ONS 2016

Press release -

The 'Esvagt Njord' dropped in to the ONS

The ’Esvagt Njord’ drew a good deal of attention when she came alongside in Stavanger for the ONS.

The design and build are Norwegian, and when the ’Esvagt Njord’ enters into charter at the Dudgeon Wind Farm, it will be for Norwegian company, Statoil.

In other words, there was good reason to show Norwegian colours when ESVAGT’s SOV new build lay alongside in Stavanger in connection with the ONS conference.

The ’Esvagt Njord’ was also a good bid on how energy resources of the future can be harnessed, something that a large number of invited guests could see at close hand when ESVAGT hosted an evening arrangement:

“The pressure is really on the oil and gas sector of the Norwegian offshore industry. The ’Esvagt Njord’ is good and welcome proof that Norway also has competences in wind energy – an area in which the SOV concept and Havyards design are entirely innovative,” says Ole Ditlev Nielsen, Chief Commercial & Safety Officer for ESVAGT.
