Fred. Says, Get It Straight From The Horse's Mouth!

In these times of ever changing technology, and the massive increase in social networking – among all age groups – Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has been fascinated by some of the questions posed by customers and potential customers – everything from whether ships have self-service laundry facilities to the best way to ensure a regular supply of oxygen!

Whilst they make for entertaining reading – and the cruise line would be the first to agree with Oscar Wilde that it is better to be talked about than not talked about – they would like everyone to know that the best way to get a straight and factual answer to any of these queries is to go to them direct.

“It is wonderful to see Fred. Olsen regulars sharing their experiences and offering each other advice online” said Marketing Director, Nigel Lingard, “and I must confess to being very impressed by the blogging skills of so many of our customers – but there is always the risk of getting incorrect or out of date information.  While it may not be a big deal when we are talking washing machines or dinner seating times, if it’s really important, we would urge people to come to us and get the facts before they travel.”

He added: “Bloggers have been asking each other about the number of formal nights on board, the cost of dry cleaning, boarding times, noisy cabins – you name it!  I love the idea of Fred. Olsen regulars sharing their experiences and offering each other advice, as it is very in line with our philosophy of encouraging a friendly, relaxed atmosphere on board.  However, we’d urge everyone to remember, when they really need a specific bit of information, and it must be accurate – Fred. blogs too!”

Anyone wishing to contact Fred. Olsen for specific factual information should visit the websitehttp://www.fredolsencruises.co.uk/ then go to “Contact Us” and then click on “Admin Enquiries”.  The question can be posted on the form.  Alternatively call Fred. Olsen Admin Enquiries on 01473 292444.

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines

At Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines we are very proud of our smaller ships – Bolette, Borealis and Balmoral - and the imaginative and unusual itineraries they allow us to offer. Every cruise is hand-crafted from scratch by our team of in-house Journey Planners to make sure you are not only visiting the best destinations, but at the best time to experience them.

For us, it’s not just about where we go but how we take you there. We put as much time into planning scenic cruising as we do in choosing the destinations themselves. On board, our Signature Experiences showcase the history, culture, nature and flavours of the destinations you’ll visit – from Treats of the Region, where you can enjoy local delicacies, to our Sky at Sea star-gazing sessions where you can relax with a hot toddy out on deck while our astronomer talks you through the night sky.

Plus, with each ship carrying 1,300 guests or less, our ships are small enough for us to offer a warm, friendly and personal service where nothing is ever too much trouble, as we visit a host of exciting ports in every corner of the globe.
