Network Rail will be switching on a modern, more reliable state of the art signalling system to reduce train delays during a four-day closure of the railway in the Lewes area from Thursday 7 March to Sunday 10 March
No trains will stop at Lewes or several neighbouring stations after midday on Saturday 5th November – bonfire night – and road restrictions will apply.
Services between Lewes and Eastbourne are being disrupted this week due to a 5mph speed restriction at Ripe. This is in place while Network Rail works on repairs to the embankment following a landslip in the area last week.
