An alliance of four companies is presenting an integrated system solution that offers an innovative approach to water and waste-water plant automation. Phoenix Contact, Endress + Hauser, Danfoss, and Videc set themselves the goal of making setup and planning easy and fast as well as maintenance clear and uncomplicated.
With Aqua Automation, the member companies are able to offer products and services that are harmonized in terms of design and technology. Objects, function modules, and variables are created one time only and are then directly available in the automation projects for maintenance, servicing, and support.
This makes it possible to lower engineering and support costs. A new library containing function modules has also been developed specifically with everyday users of water and wastewater plants in mind. In the words of Joachim Pucker, Global Industry Manager at Phoenix Contact, “By bringing together expertise and responsibility from various sub-areas, we have greatly simplified the day-to-day work of operators and plant builders. During this process, we worked closely together with colleagues on the front line to map their specific requirements.”Prospective users can learn more about these system solutions at the Aqua Automation Forum being held on 17 September in Kulmbach, on 19 September at the Mühlheim Waterworks, and on 1 October in Hamburg. The forum will focus on the topic of energy efficiency. Please go to aqua-automation.com to sign up
