Press release -
New firmware and app for signalling system
The compact TC Mobile I/O X200 signalling system from Phoenix Contact, which was specifically optimized for alerting and switching tasks, is now available with a free app for Android and iOS systems that delivers greater ease of use. This app allows users to switch outdoor lights or pumps on or off at the press of a button – and save time in the process.
It also offers an improved user experience by eliminating the need to write text messages. Manual or periodic status updates additionally provide a clear overview of communication costs. Alerts are sent via text message or e-mail, as in the past, ensuring a high level of availability even without an Internet connection.
The newly released firmware 2.0 allows the outputs of the signalling system to be activated through a phone call, without generating added costs. In this case, the device detects but does not respond to the incoming call. The analogue inputs can also be scaled and provided with a unit. The device automatically converts the measured sensor signal into the actual measured variable. Further text message commands have also been added that do away with the need for configuration in the field. These commands can be used to restart the device and trigger manual time correction. In addition, the analogue thresholds can be dynamically adjusted.
