Sharpen up your parking skills at Cardiff Bay with Q-Park!

Award winning parking provider, Q-Park UK extends the partnership with the Driving Instructors Association. As part of the DIA driving scheme, instructors can use selected Q-Park car parks including Q-Park Cardiff Bay free of charge to educate new drivers on how to park with ease.

Q-Park has supported the Driving Instructors Association for many years allowing students to practice their parking skills in various car parks across the country. Learning to drive is always best within a live environment which is why Q-Park opens its doors to learner drivers whilst under tuition.

Billy Mahoney, Marketing Manager at DIA, commented: "The Driving Instructors Association is the largest membership organisation for driver and rider trainers in the UK. The DIA have years of experience in developing and improving road safety through working with the Department for Transport and Government agencies such as Highways England.

The DIA have worked with Q-Park over the last few years to offer members and their pupils a safe place to learn and develop their driving skills. Q-Park's new Cardiff Bay facility allows our Welsh members to avail of this valuable training. Improving driving skills in Cardiff can only be a good thing and we’re thankful to Q-Park for this valuable service"

John Denton, Head of Sales and Marketing at Q-Park, commented “We have a strong sense of corporate social responsibility and we are pleased to be working with the DIA who are recognised authority on driver training. Q-Park is actively supporting the next generation of parkers by encouraging safe driving and building confidence when parking. We currently offer the scheme in a number of cities such as Edinburgh, Liverpool, Reading, Nottingham, Birmingham and we’re pleased to extend this to Cardiff.”

As part of this innovative partnership, Q-Park generously rewards new drivers with free parking vouchers when they pass the driving test. This helps the new driver to continue to build their driving skills after they are a qualified driver.
