Roadchef and Q-Park UK join to tackle road safety

The unique partnership has been formed to encourage safer driving by encouraging drivers to take regular breaks on longer journeys. According to the Department for Transport, over 65.8 billion miles were driven on UK roads in 2015 and this was a record number. With a growing number of drivers on the UK roads, this will increase the risk of potential accidents taking place and therefore drivers need to be more alert than ever.

National service station provider, Roadchef operates 30 locations from London to Glasgow, with over 54 million visitors per year. The facilities are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year providing parking, fuel, hot drinks and food. As part of the partnership Roadchef will be offering Q-Park Reward app users an exclusive 20% off discount at all services. Customers will be able to save money when taking a break at Roadchef brands Fresh Food Café, Hot Food Café, Chozen Noodle and Restbite.

Roadchef's Director of Commercial and Loss Prevention, Mike Heaton, stated, ‘We are pleased to partner with Q-Park in this safer driving initiative. The partnership is a perfect fit as we have millions of customers who are traveling across the country and require parking once they arrive at their destination. As a result of this partnership, not only are we teaming up with a reputable parking provider but we are able to offer a great parking incentive to our customers. We certainly look forward to the future with Q-Park.’

John Denton Head of Sales and Marketing at Q-Park also commented “We are always looking to grow our national partnerships, especially when we are able to actively promote road safety as it is an important issue to us. We are particular pleased we can do this with Roadchef who are one of the key motorway services providers. Not only will this partnership add more value to our customers it also promotes the importance of taking a break on long journeys.”
