Spooktacular events are a treat
Libraries across the borough are inviting families to join them this half-term, as they celebrate Halloween.
A number of free, themed events will be taking place throughout the week, so take a break from trick or treating and immerse yourself in a world of witches and ghostly superstitions.
The locations, dates and times can be found below:
· Menacing Mobiles, Tuesday 28 October, 2-4pm - Littleborough
Have fun colouring a selection of Halloween characters before stringing them together to make a spooky mobile! All materials will be provided so just turn up with the family and get involved.
· Halloween Writing Workshop, Friday 31 October, 2-3pm – Alkrington
A Halloween-themed writing workshop for children aged 6-11 with Explore Learning. Come along in your best Halloween fancy dress and receive a ghoulish goody bag. Call 0161 643 7799 to book your free place.
· Halloween card masks, half-term drop in (27-31 October, during normal library opening hours) – Heywood
A drop in and colour session will be taking place throughout the week. So if you’re looking for something to do, drop by and have some fun.
· Decorate a Halloween Pumpkin, half-term drop in (27-31 October, during normal library opening hours) – Smithybridge
Come along to Smithybridge Library over the half term holiday and decorate a Halloween pumpkin to take home with you. There is also a huge selection of books to choose from about witches, wizards, ghosts and ghouls, and stories for both the young and old, so come along and have a browse.
