Solar Weekend to have 72-hours area with Club Silent

EINDHOVEN, THE NETHERLANDS - For its eleventh edition Solar Weekend offers a 72-hours area. In cooperation with Club Silent the visitors will be able to party at any given time in a silent disco at the camping. Solar Weekend also partners with 3FM. The radio station will broadcast live from the festival. To crown it all, Solar Weekend will shoot for a Guinness world record.

Club Silent

Where previous years the music at Solar Weekend stopped at half past two at night, the visitors will now be able to enjoy DJs at any time. In cooperation with Club Silent Solar Weekend offers a silent disco for the full 72 hours, situated at the Ibiza Stage at the camping. This marks the first time in Solar’s history to have dancing Thursday evening. "It’s something our visitors have been wanting for a long time,” said creative director Marcel Mingers. A literal silent disco, which sees visitors enjoying the music through a headset.

3FM
For the first time since 2013 3FM is back at Solar Weekend. Various DJs from the popular radio station will travel to De Maasplassen in Roermond this summer. From there 3FM will broadcast its shows during the festival. In the run-up to the festival tickets for Solar Weekend can be won through 3FM.

Guinness Book of Records
This year Solar Weekend again tries for a Guinness world record. Together with camping store De Wit the festival will shoot for the biggest water gun fight ever. Water fights were held previous editions as well, with over 3.400 people attending. Solar Weekend hopes to surpass this during the eleventh edition of the festival.

CJP
Cultureel Jongeren Paspoort (CJP) card holders are eligible for a €7,50 discount towards the festival tickets for Solar Weekend. The discount is valid for the 3- and 4-day festival tickets. Solar Weekend is held July 30 - August 2.
