One of our own will be lacing up her trainers and donning a high vis later this year when she takes on the Great North Run in September.
Sue Cartwright has worked for The Sick Children’s Trust since 2001 and is currently the House Operations Manager for the North.
Unlike most people celebrating a birthday with cake and a party, Sue will be marking the big 6-0 on September 15th by taking part in the notorious Great North Run two days before.
This will be Sue’s fifth time running the race, but despite her experience she hasn’t run in two years and is finding this one a very daunting challenge!
Sue is aiming to raise £600 for the us - a cause that has become close to her heart over the last few years.
Top Running Tip: “Finish the course in one piece and raise some money for The SCT!”
