20 years of CeramicPlus – State of the art in terms of hygiene

From washing salad, fruit or vegetables to rinsing raw meat or fish, draining pasta, potatoes or rice and cleaning greasy pots or pans – the kitchen sink has to cope with a wide range of domestic tasks that can leave unsightly marks. The only solution is to clean the basin and drainage area after almost every use. The CeramicPlus surface finish makes light work of this chore.

All Villeroy & Boch ceramic sinks are supplied with the proven CeramicPlus surface refinement, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Since its launch in 1999, the finishing process has been continuously refined and improved. Until today CeramicPlus impresses trade professionals and consumers all over the world – in the bathroom as well as the kitchen. Thanks to its extremely smooth surface, the CeramicPlus finish makes it almost impossible for water, oil and dirt to adhere and they simply flow away. For thorough cleaning, simply wipe the ceramic with a damp cloth and a little washing-up liquid or a neutral cleaning product, if required. This is all it takes to quickly remove even stubborn residue and limescale. It not only makes washing-up easier, it also helps save the environment as well as money.

Ceramic convinces in function and aesthetics

CeramicPlus takes the already impressive benefits of ceramic in the kitchen to a whole new level. The premium material is impervious to everyday household acids and alkalis. Ceramic is also resistant to knocks, impacts and scratches, heat and cold, allowing you to place hot pans or frozen food on a ceramic sink with absolute peace of mind. Ceramic is also completely tasteless and odourless in contact with sensitive foodstuffs.

With its innovative TitanCeram material, Villeroy & Boch has succeeded in creating a ceramic composition capable of being crafted into very fine, filigree shapes. Thanks to a special blend of natural raw materials, TitanCeram allows the production of very stable ceramic products with clearly defined edges and thin walls.

The innovative TitanGlaze is an additional highlight that sets new standards in terms of functionality and aesthetics. The matt glaze contains high-purity crystalline aluminium oxide that increases the surface’s resilience and makes it extremely resistant to scratches and impacts. The selection of matt colours, including the new ivory beige hue of Almond, also coordinates ideally with the enduringly popular kitchen design trend for matt surfaces.
