The Zero Alpha Foundation Supports Veterans Aid

The Zero Alpha Foundation is proud to have supported Veterans Aid with a grant of £500 which will assist in their provision of services to support veterans of HM Forces who have fallen on hard times and found themselves homeless. This is one of the first grants ever given by The Zero Alpha Foundation and will be the first of many such grant as we value and appreciate the work Veterans Aid do.

VA’s fundraiser Colonel Geoffrey Cardozo MBE, said “The veterans in our care are extremely fortunate to have received a grant from the Zero Alpha Foundation which has been set up and is run by UK ex-Servicemen. Every penny of the grant will be spent with care on assisting our homeless ex-servicemen and women with accommodation, clothes and food – i.e. the ‘basics’ – whe, often destitute, they first call on us for help at our drop-in centre near Victoria. This gift, totally unexpected, is a windfall and hugely appreciated.”

Veterans Aid are the A&E of the veterans world. Handling over 3,000 calls each year from veterans in “crisis”, they offer a ‘hand up’ approach rather than a ‘hand out’. They are at the coal face when it comes to delivering support services and it is because of this The Zero Alpha Foundation is proud to have been able to help. We hope this is the first of many such grants we can provide to Veterans Aid.

It is amazing to think that all of this is possible solely through the sale of mobile phone contracts, a tangible reflection of the work undertaken by Zero Alpha Mobile and The Zero Alpha Foundation.
