10,8 million guest nights in Stockholm 2012

Stockholm remains the engine of Sweden's tourism industry. The number of guest nights continues to increase, especially regarding the international. In 2012 Stockholm County had 10.8 million guest nights, which is an increase of 3 percent compared with the previous year. The number of international guest nights in Stockholm increased as well.

Stockholm accounts for nearly a third of the number of international guest nights in Sweden. In 2012 was 3.5 million international guest nights, which is an increase of 1.6 percent compared with last year. The number of international guest nights in the country as a whole, however, went back to 0.6 percent in 2012

Germany is the largest international market with over 400,000 guest nights annually, followed by the UK, USA and Norway.
