Yamaha Golf Cars/Land Cars
User-friendly and Eco-friendly Features and Performance for Expanded Roles in Society
To fulfill our corporate mission to be a Kando* Creating Company offering new excitement and a more fulfilling life for people all over the world, Yamaha Motor offers a variety of products and services for both recreation and business on a global scale, from motorcycles, outboard motors and boats to ATVs and ROVs. Among them are our golf cars that carry players, caddies and their equipment around the course to help make their rounds of golf smooth-flowing, less tiring and more enjoyable. To best fit the market environments and needs found in North America and Asia, Yamaha has built a varied lineup of models combining different power units, driving options and base frame designs. What’s more, their features, equipment and specifications can be easily altered, helping these vehicles fill an expanding variety of roles at facilities other than golf courses (land cars). In Japan, expectations are high for their use as base vehicles for next-generation short-range transportation systems, with several field tests and evaluations already underway.
In this issue, we look Yamaha golf cars and land cars that currently account for about one-third of global demand, with shipments of some 60,000 units annually (2013-2016 statistics).
