New Organizational Reforms and Personnel Changes at Yamaha Motor

IWATA, April 14, 2020 - Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (Tokyo: 7272) has resolved to implement the following organizational reforms and personnel changes, effective April 15, 2020.

 

■ Organizational Reforms (effective April 15, 2020)

1. Creative Center

The Design Center is being renamed and reorganized as the Creative Center with the aim of creating synergies by bringing together not only product design and cutting-edge design functions, but also brand marketing and brand strengthening functions.

- Within the Creative Center, the new Brand Marketing Division will be created, which will integrate some of the communication design functions within the Corporate Design Division, the content creation as well as the web creation and management functions within the Corporate Communication Division of the Corporate Planning & Finance Center, and the brand promotion functions within the Corporate Planning Division of the Corporate Planning & Finance Center.

2. Solution Business Operations

The Robotics Business Unit will be reorganized to strengthen business competitiveness.

- A new Manufacturing Section will be established within the Robotics Business Unit, with the existing Production Division and Procurement Division moved underneath it in order to promote both working hours and cost reductions.
