Advania Secures Norwegian Police IT Contract, Reinforcing Role in Northern Europe's Public Sector

Advania has been selected by the Norwegian Police to supply a comprehensive suite of IT hardware, including PCs, Macs, mobile phones, tablets, and associated equipment. This was announced in December 2025 in Norway. The contract, awarded based on Advania's high-quality technical offering, incorporates advanced pricing mechanisms that account for climate and environmental impacts throughout the equipment’s entire lifecycle—from procurement to disposal.

This agreement underscores a broader operational reality for public services across Northern Europe: the demand for IT infrastructure that prioritizes absolute reliability, security, and sustainability.

Advania currently partners with public sector organizations across Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Denmark, and the UK, managing framework agreements that typically span five to ten years. These partnerships support mission-critical infrastructure where system availability is essential for public safety and administration.

Advania’s public sector IT delivery supports several key areas:

  • Justice and Public Safety: Equipping courts, border protection, and law enforcement agencies, including providing secure, mobile access for networks of up to 50,000 personnel.
  • Healthcare Delivery: Maintaining the infrastructure behind hospital systems and regional welfare services that process up to 700,000 patient interactions annually.
  • Government and Essential Services: Securing the administrative backbone for tax authorities, national registers, power utilities, and civil protection agencies.
  • Education and Research: Supplying digital learning platforms, secure exam environments, and data management systems for national school and university networks.

Modern public institutions require more than basic device provisioning. Advania's deployments integrate secure collaboration platforms for decentralized workforces, cloud infrastructure meeting strict data sovereignty laws, and complex platform migrations.

The Norwegian Police contract reflects an evolving standard in public procurement, demonstrating that modern governmental bodies require technology partners capable of delivering secure, sustainable, and continuous operations in complex environments.
