Find out what is new in the revised version of the AOECS Standard

The AOECS Standard for Gluten-Free Foods is a guiding document on how to meet the technical requirements that apply to food business operators who want to license their products for the Crossed Grain Trademark.

AOECS is now introducing a new version of the AOECS Standard for Gluten-Free Foods. This version supersedes the previous old version and becomes binding by January 1st, 2023. We have released a recorded webinar that highlights the differences from the previous version of the AOECS Standard.

The AOECS Standard provides guidance and technical requirements to producers and food safety inspectors for the manufacture of gluten-free products and a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point System (HACCP) to ensure that no contamination with gluten takes place at any stage during the manufacturing, packaging and storing processes. It also provides a clear description of the chemical composition of gluten as well as definitions of gluten-containing grains.
