Press release -
AOECS Launches Fourth Call for Scientific Papers on Coeliac Disease
The Association of European Coeliac Societies (AOECS) is pleased to announce its fourth call for scientific papers on research and innovation related to coeliac disease.
Approved abstracts will be presented as scientific posters at the AOECS Annual Conference in Brussels, taking place from 17–18 October 2025, and published in the AOECS Scientific Book 2025.
AOECS is committed to advancing understanding and awareness of coeliac disease through various international initiatives. This call aims to promote new research and encourage the exchange of knowledge on key topics such as gluten-free diets, early diagnosis, patient quality of life, and future treatment options.
New this year:
Special focus on hydrolysed products such as gluten-free beer
AOECS is especially encouraging submissions addressing the testing and safety of hydrolysed gluten-free products. Current test methods for such products – including gluten-free beer – present notable limitations and lack sufficient accuracy. More scientific studies are needed to improve detection methods and ensure better protection for individuals with coeliac disease.
Fourth Scientific Book and Global Attention
Since 1988, AOECS National Coeliac Societies have gathered annually to discuss coeliac disease-related topics and hold our General Assembly. Since 2022, this event has also included the publication of a Scientific Book, compiling accepted abstracts to make the latest research more accessible to professionals, stakeholders, and the wider coeliac community.
Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to the global conversation on coeliac disease and present your work to an international network of experts and advocates.
Don’t Miss This Opportunity
We warmly invite research groups involved in basic or applied coeliac research, as well as our fellow AOECS members, to submit abstracts detailing their findings and innovations. The deadline for submissions is 5 September 2025
For submission guidelines and further information, please visit our website.
If you have any questions regarding this call, please contact AOECS Scientific Manager, MarÃa van der Hofstadt Rovira.
