A new summer season begins at Arctic Bath
As Arctic Sweden bursts into life under the midnight sun, Arctic Bath welcomes guests from around the world to experience the rare magic of a northern summer where stillness, nature, and culture meet in perfect harmony.
Summer has arrived in Swedish Lapland, and with it, Arctic Bath has opened its doors for the new season. Here, just beneath the Arctic Circle, nature awakens in a dramatic transformation, from deep winter silence to endless daylight. The river flows freely once more, wildflowers emerge across the forest floor, and the air is filled with birdsong and trembling birch leaves.
This coming weekend marks Midsummer’s Eve, one of Sweden’s most cherished and symbolic traditions. Many of our guests are arriving to witness this deeply rooted celebration of light, nature, and togetherness. With dancing around flower-covered maypoles, traditional food, and the year’s longest day, midsummer captures the very essence of summer in the north and there is truly no better place to experience it than here in the northern parts of Sweden.
Our opening weekend brought together guests from both near and far: an Italian fashion photographer capturing the golden light of the midnight sun, a traveller from the Caribbean embracing the SPA and cold immersion, and couples sharing quiet dinners with elegant service in the restaurant. A full house, united by curiosity, calm, and the beauty of night light.
Our summer's calendar offers opportunities to explore this extraordinary setting from open-air afternoon yoga and our signature wellness ritual Julevädno, to cultural events such as Sommarljus, the intimate northern song festival hosted here in Harads.
In our restaurant, the Exclusive Tasting Menu made its seasonal debut, a carefully curated, extended dining experience available only during the summer months. This culinary journey is built around Arctic ingredients at their seasonal peak, rooted in local traditions and storytelling. We were delighted to see such an immediate response, with several guests booking the experience on only the second evening of the season.
We are grateful for the warm reception and the growing interest in what summer at Arctic Bath can offer. As the landscape shifts from winter darkness to summer’s endless light, we invite guests to slow down and reconnect, whether by simply sitting in stillness by the river, exploring the surrounding nature, enjoying curated SPA rituals, or joining one of the many experiences available in the area. Summer in the north is a chance to feel present, nourished, and inspired by what is simple, real, and beautiful.
The summer season at Arctic Bath continues through to October. Whether you are drawn to nature's silence, Arctic flavours, cultural connection, or the healing power of water and light, we welcome you to experience it with us.
