Areim signs lease with Hyper Island in Tidningskvarteren, Stockholm

Areim and Hyper Island have signed a multiyear lease covering approximately 1,700 sqm of lettable area in Trängkåren 7 in Tidningskvarteren, Stockholm. The premises will be refurbished ahead of Hyper Island’s occupancy in August and will serve as the company’s new offices in Stockholm.

“We are delighted that Hyper Island has chosen Trängkåren 7 and Tidningskvarteren as the new base for its operations. Tidningskvarteren has long been a place for ideas, communication, and the exchange of knowledge, and Hyper Island’s activities are a strong addition to what we are building here. The bright, airy, and modern premises provide excellent conditions for their approach to learning, collaboration, and creativity, and together with the students, they contribute to the open and vibrant neighbourhood we are developing,” says Christian Bouvier, Head of Asset Management Office, Sweden, at Areim.

”This move marks a new chapter for Hyper Island. Our new space will create a stronger setting for learning, collaboration and future growth. As we approach 30 years as pioneers in transformative learning, this is the right moment to invest in the environment for what comes next,” says Heidi Rundt, CEO of Hyper Island.

Tidningskvarteren is the name of the area around Trängkåren 6 (the “Sweco-building”) and Trängkåren 7 (“DN-skrapan” and “Tidningshuset”) located in Marieberg, Stockholm. Areim is developing a vibrant, inclusive and open neighbourhood for those who live, work and spend time in the area. Today, around 10,000 people work in the neighbourhood and approximately 13,000 people live in the surrounding area, creating a natural rhythm of daily life and a vibrant urban atmosphere. The development is based on circular urban planning with a focus on renewal without demolition, and has created clearer connections between the properties while laying the foundations for increased activity and interactions in everyday life. A high standard of service, including seven restaurants, a café, and a gym contribute to activity and social interaction even outside office hours.
