World Champion Raphael Haaser joins Atomic
Austrian World Champion Raphael Haaser has signed a two-year contract with Atomic. He’ll be supported by Thomas Graggaber, an experienced Atomic service technician and former World Cup racer with 22 starts to his name.
At the recent World Championships in Saalbach, Haaser became Giant Slalom World Champion and Super-G Vice World Champion. With five World Cup podiums and strong performances across GS, Super-G, and Downhill, the 27-year-old from Maurach, Tyrol, adds valuable depth to Atomic’s Redster roster – joining the likes of Mikaela Shiffrin, Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, and others.
“The overall package really won me over and suited me very well. I’m pleased that ‘Graggi’ will be my serviceman – he was involved in testing and has been part of our team as Daniel Danklmaier’s serviceman in recent years,” says Raphael Haaser.
“With his potential and his combination of disciplines – giant slalom, super-G, and downhill – Raphael is a highly valuable addition to our team. We are convinced that he will continue to fully unfold his potential with Atomic,” adds Atomic Global Race Manager Christian Höflehner.
Haaser follows several athletes who joined Atomic this spring. Among them are Swiss slalom specialist Daniel Yule, whose signing was announced earlier this season, and Jett Seymour, a 26-year-old from Steamboat Springs, Colorado, who has also signed a two-year agreement.
On the women’s side, two promising Austrians are joining the Redster family:
- Nina Astner (24) from Tyrol, the current European Cup Giant Slalom Champion, has secured a fixed World Cup GS start spot for the upcoming season.
- Leonie Raich (20), a rising talent with family ties to Atomic legend Benni Raich.
