PIX UP wins the 2026 Architecture+ Office Innovation Award
Jury recognizes the space-saving integration of power and data and the resulting design flexibility
Cologne, 28 October 2026 – BACHMANN GmbH has won the 2026 Architecture+ Office Innovation Award for PIX UP. The solution, developed together with Mass Tech Innovations GmbH, received the competition’s main award. The public award ceremony took place on 27 October 2026 during ORGATEC 2026 in Cologne.
Organized by the architecture trade publications AIT/AIT-Dialog in cooperation with Koelnmesse, the competition was held for the 14th time in 2026. It recognizes materials and products that meet the requirements of architecture and interior design to a high degree while combining design and functionality. More than 30 products were submitted, from which a five-member jury of architects and interior designers selected six winners.
Compact integration creates greater design freedom
PIX UP convinced the jury with its simple yet well-considered approach to integrating power. The jury particularly highlighted the product’s space-saving integration and the design flexibility it creates for different applications.
In its official statement, the jury emphasizes the straightforward and clever concept behind PIX UP, particularly its ability to accommodate power in a compact format and thereby create greater freedom for design in both office and residential environments. The jury also considers PIX UP a well thought-out and uncomplicated response to an everyday challenge.
The award therefore highlights both the functional integration of technical connections and the value PIX UP offers for planning and design. The solution supports furniture and interior concepts in which technical infrastructure needs to be incorporated with minimal space requirements while maintaining design flexibility.

Award presented at ORGATEC 2026
The Architecture+ Office Innovation Award is aimed at designers and manufacturers in the fields of office furniture, office accessories and equipment, lighting, flooring and other applications for office environments. All submitted products are being presented in a special exhibition during ORGATEC 2026 from 27 to 30 October.
For BACHMANN GmbH, the award underscores the relevance of integrating power into furniture and interior concepts at an early design stage, particularly for architects, interior designers, planners and furniture manufacturers.
