Crime+Investigation Highlights June 2020

CRUISE SHIP KILLERS

Wednesdays from 10 June at 21.00

Cruise Ship Killers shines a light on these cases and aims to uncover the truth of what really happens at sea. Since 2011, more than 200 cruise line travelers have gone missing and are presumed dead. Many are murdered. While some of the murders have officially been solved, questions still linger. Others remain covered up for nefarious reasons. Cruise Ship Killers is a true crime television series that tells the stories of people who never returned home after taking a holiday on a cruise ship, featuring interviews with family, friends, investigators and experts.

THE ELEVEN

Tuesdays from 2 June at 21.00

In the 1970s, 11 teenage girls were brutally murdered in and around Galveston County, Texas, crimes that remain unsolved. Prompted mostly by the discovery of a confession letter and the work of journalist Lise Olsen and retired police Detective Fred Paige, law enforcement personnel have reopened the investigation into two of the victims. The six-part documentary `The Eleven' tells the girls' stories in an attempt to link the crimes to the man who wrote the confession, Edward Harold Bell. He is currently serving a 70-year sentence for an unrelated murder. Episodes feature Olsen and Paige talking face to face with Bell, who denies the written confession. With a parole hearing for Bell looming, the investigators try to piece together evidence before it's too late.

POLICE PATROL
Weekdays from Monday 1 June at 16:50

Police Patrol is a non-fiction series that brings viewers an unfiltered look at law enforcement officers in action across America. Every episode highlights the daily life-and-death situations faced by Sheriff’s Departments, Highway Patrols and local Police Departments in a diverse range of jurisdictions from Connecticut to Arizona.

From drugs busts to prostitution, high speed pursuits to domestic disputes, car theft to gang violence, or just minor traffic violations, Live PD: Police Patrol offers a transparent look at the daily encounters between police and civilians.

HOMICIDE HUNTER

Episodes every Thursdays at 22.00

Homicide Hunter examines murder cases told through the personal experience of retired detective, Lieutenant Joe Kenda. Kenda spent 23 years in the Colorado Springs Police Department, where he amassed a lifetime of memories catching killers and helping solve close to 400 homicide investigations. Relying on his years of experience and a compelling storytelling style, Kenda captivates with details of a different investigation each week — from the racing adrenaline he felt when receiving an initial homicide call to the satisfaction of closing the case. Homicide Hunter reveals the emotional and psychological effects of murder on the investigator himself as Kenda embarks on a personal journey, coming to terms with long-suppressed nightmares.
