Caroline Baume has more than 15 years of local and international marketing experience at Mondelēz International across a wide range of products and brands. As Marketing Director Benelux, she will be responsible for the brands within all our categories: Biscuits, Chocolate, Cheese & Grocery.

Caroline Baume started her career at Mondelēz International in 2006. She first worked within the group in France for different brands in the coffee market (Jacques Vabre and Tassimo in the on-demand coffee category). She then moved into the Biscuits category to manage the portfolio of biscuits brands for young adults. Granola and then Oreo and Mikado earned her a number of awards: Eurobest (Granovores 2013), Grand Prix de l'Affichage (Mikado 2014), EFFI (Mikado Sticks 2015). In 2015, she joined Mondelēz International's European headquarters in Zurich where she was responsible for the brand strategy of the Oreo and Milka biscuits brands for Europe. There she successfully worked on their geographic expansion and launched major strategic initiatives.

She joined the Benelux team in 2020, first as Marketing Director Bakery Benelux, then as Marketing Director Chocolate, Gum & Candy Benelux. As a member of the leadership team, she is responsible for our marketing strategies, as well as for Diversity & Inclusion. The work of her teams is regularly recognized: BEST BRAND AWARD 2023 (Côte d'Or), Bronze EFFI 2023 (LU), and Grand prix AI CONTENT 2023 (Stimorol).

In her new position, Caroline leads the entire Mondelez Benelux marketing team, which consists of more than 30 people, and she is responsible for all brands in the Biscuits, Chocolate, Cheese & Grocery categories. Together with her team, she will aim to grow its brands two times faster than the category average by 2030 and to accelerate corporate social responsibility programs.

"I am proud that I will be able to use my experience of the past years in this new position. My ambition is to actively promote a culture of diversity and empathy in our Belgian and Dutch teams, as well as to strengthen relationships with our partners and agencies. In addition, I want to continue to further develop our iconic brands such as LU, Côte d'Or, Milka, Philadelphia, Oreo, LiGA, …. I am also excited about the progress we are making every day on sustainable development through our Cocoa Life[1] and Harmony[2] programs. The work we will continue to do to fulfill our ambitious global commitments in this area is therefore something I am greatly looking forward to," explains Caroline Baume, who is motivated by this new challenge.

"Caroline is known to us for her energy, impact and drive. Thanks to the outstanding performance of her team for the campaign around Côte d'Or's 140th anniversary, the brand was named "Best Confectionary, Biscuits & Snacks Brand" in 2023 at the Best Brand Awards in Belgium. With her innovative media strategies and partnerships, she has also succeeded in making Milka the undisputed market leader for chocolate bars in the Netherlands. We are confident of Caroline's success in her new role as Marketing Director and look forward to seeing how our brands will develop under her leadership," said Marcin Dobrock, Vice President & Managing Director Benelux.
