Golvabia enhances transport administration and improves workflows with Blue TA

When Golvabia delivers its products to retailers across the Nordic region, speed and precision are critical. In a market where competitor products are often very similar, delivery performance is a key differentiator. For the family-owned company based in Anderstorp, Sweden, with over 75 years of experience in flooring, tiles, and ceramics, logistics is a core part of the company’s offering.

When Golvabia’s previous transport administration (TA) solution became both more expensive and increasingly manual to manage, it was clear that a change was needed. The transition to Blue TA from Connect Companies gave Golvabia renewed stability in its outbound deliveries, and a seamless integration that didn’t interrupt operations for a single moment.

A natural extension of existing systems
Golvabia processes between 4,000 and 6,000 order lines every month. In such a high-volume flow, even minor delays are quickly noticeable. When their previous TA provider announced a price increase, the company began evaluating alternatives.

“We were informed that prices would go up, which prompted us to look for other solutions,” said CEO, Pontus Davidsson. Since Golvabia was already using the integration platform Blue Integrator, choosing Blue TA was a natural next step.

“The replacement of our old system was quick and smooth. The transition was barely noticeable in day-to-day operations, and we didn’t experience any downtime,” continued Davidsson.

A more efficient day-to-day operation
Golvabia wanted to reduce administrative work and create clearer transport workflows; by deploying Blue TA it saw immediate results.

“Blue TA allows us to avoid manual booking of shipments, and label printing is faster and requires less handling. That saves time throughout the entire process,” said Davidsson. He also highlights the improved overview of shipments:

“We now have a clearer structure, and communication with carriers is far more efficient and effective.”

Operational reliability has also been an important facto since Blue TA has been integrated into the operational infrastructure.

“We haven’t had a single stoppage since the system went live. Stability is absolutely critical for us,” said Davidsson.

Delivery performance as a competitive advantage
Golvabia’s customers expect fast and reliable deliveries, which has become one of the company’s key competitive advantages.

“Our business model is built around fast delivery. When products are often quite similar, effective delivery capability makes a real difference. In that sense, we compete through logistics,” said Davidsson.

With Blue TA, Golvabia has gained a solution that strengthens this capability: faster label printing, less administration, and more predictable transport operations.

A partner with deep knowledge of the business
Golvabia’s long-standing collaboration with Connect Companies contributed to a smooth implementation. Connect Companies already had a strong insight into the company’s processes relating to forklift handling and order picking.

“Connect Companies handled much of the dialogue with carriers and the implementation of Blue TA. We have great confidence in their expertise and experience,” said Davidsson. He also highlighted their proactive approach:

“They understand our business and continuously come up with suggestions on how we can improve and develop it further.”

An investment that pays off quickly
The pricing model was another important factor in the decision. With a fixed monthly fee, Golvabia benefits from predictable costs.

“That model suits us well. We expect a fast return on investment and avoid unexpected costs, which are common with traditional TA systems.”

The elimination of downtime has also delivered clear financial benefits explained Davidsson: “Avoiding interruptions is a major win.”

“Many companies are locked into their systems – we are not”
For Golvabia, technology should enable development, not limit it.

“Many companies are locked into IT systems that are difficult to replace. That’s not the case for us. Our systems should help us evolve, not stand in the way of business growth,” said Davidsson.

“With Blue TA, we have a solution that delivers stability, simplicity, and speed, key qualities that allow us to continue developing our logistics flows in step with the business,” concluded Pontus Davidsson.
