The audiobook service BookBeat’s growth journey continues. During the first half of 2025, the number of paying users increased by 16 percent compared to the same period last year, surpassing the milestone of 1.1 million. At the same time, revenues rose by 15 percent. June saw the highest influx of new users ever in Sweden, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
For the streaming service BookBeat, 2024 was the most successful year in the company's history to date. Growth amounted to 21 percent for the full year, landing at SEK 1.36 billion. The company also reported a positive EBITA result for the first time since its inception in 2015. In September, the goal of one million paying users per month was also achieved.
BookBeat, one of the largest streaming services for audiobooks in Europe, has launched in the Netherlands and Belgium. The launch will give users on the two markets access to the service in Dutch and will include more than 500 000 audiobooks and e-books.
BookBeat, one of the largest streaming services for audiobooks, has now entered into a distribution agreement with the market-leading publisher within commercial books in the Dutch markets VBK Uitgevers, allowing Dutch listeners to enjoy the whole catalogue of more than 1800 audiobooks from the renowned publisher.
