A Chinese gilt bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni, he is dressed in a richly pleated robe and seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus throne, right hand in the bhumisparsha mudra, the left in front of him. Inscription on base "Ming Xuande" and illegible inscription internally. Unsealed bottom. Kangxi 1662-1722. Weight 5920 gr. H. 27 cm.
