Jewellery From the Hit Series “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story” Coming Up for Auction

Fans of the popular series “Bridgerton” should keep an eye out for Bruun Rasmussen’s major Jewellery Auction in Lyngby north of Copenhagen on 11 December, when a pair of diamond and pearl studded earrings worn by the young Queen Charlotte in the spin-off series “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story” is set to go under the hammer. The exclusive earrings are estimated at DKK 175,000–200,000.

Can’t get enough of the breathtaking Bridgerton universe either? And do you also dream of being transported back to opulent, 18th century London society? Now is your chance to get your hands on a piece of the universe from one of the biggest historical drama series right now, when a pair of original earrings from the spin-off of the mega-hit “Bridgerton” will be auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen.

The earrings were made specifically for “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”, which follows the young Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, who becomes engaged to King George of England in the 1760s, and the couple’s journey in the arranged marriage.

A Piece of Modern History

In the series, the jewellery up for auction is worn by the main character, the young Queen Charlotte, played by India Amarteifio. This happens in the opening scene of the first episode.

“We are extremely proud to be able to offer these stunning earrings at auction. This is jewellery that not only exemplifies exceptional craftsmanship, but also embodies the spirit of an era defined by Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz – the real-life queen behind “Queen Charlotte.” As a patron of the arts and Kew Gardens, Queen Charlotte was a figure of cultural importance and refined taste. Her legacy of elegance and the enchantment of the royal court resonate in these earrings worn in the hit series “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”. It is a unique opportunity for fans to celebrate and own a piece of modern history that reflects both the greatness and charisma of the queen,” explains Daniel Foldschack, Head of Jewellery, Fashion, and Wristwatches at Bruun Rasmussen.

Sapphires, Opals, Pearls and Diamonds

Consisting of 18-carat rose gold and adorned with numerous pink sapphires and light pink opals as well as rose-cut diamonds and brilliant-cut diamonds, these sumptuous earrings are truly fit for a queen. A beautiful South Sea pearl is mounted in each earring.

These might not be original earrings from the 18th century, but their history is more interesting and colourful than that of most modern jewellery.

The earrings are estimated at DKK 175,000–200,000 and will go under the hammer at Bruun Rasmussen’s Live Auction at Nørgaardsvej 3 in Lyngby north of Copenhagen on 11 December.
