  • Japanese Avant-garde Art for Millions

    A valuable work of art by the Japanese avant-garde artist Atsuko Tanaka is set to go under the hammer at the Danish auction house Bruun Rasmussen on 7 March with an estimate of DKK 4–6 million. The work was purchased in the 1960s at the Minami Gallery in Tokyo by a Danish couple and has remained in the ownership of the same family ever since.

    A unique Rolex Daytona watch was sold Thursday evening for EUR 88,800 (including buyer’s premium) at Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers in Copenhagen. The watch was won by Danish racing driver Michael Christensen in 2017 at the prestigious 24 hours of Daytona race. Michael Christensen now wants to donate the profits from the sale to Save the Children in Ukraine.
