Sanofi and Camfil improve the health of the environment, the health of people and the quality of air in the workplace
Trosa, Sweden – 5, Sep., 2017 –
Sanofi, a global healthcare leader who discovers, develops and distributes therapeutic solutions focused on patients’ needs, visited Camfil in Trosa, Sweden from Sep. 5th through 8th 2017 to support their Energy Days. By pursing a very motivational campaign in Energy, Waste and Water (EWW) consumption reduction, Sanofi and Camfil organized the event to focus on energy and clean solutions. Sanofi held an internal event for a full day as well as joined Camfil in the Tech Centre for demonstrations, case studies, technical and practical presentations.
Sanofi EWW consumption reduction relates directly to Sanofi’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ambition. The ambition incudes access to healthcare for the underserved, a healthy planet, engaging with communities, and ethics and transparency. In order achieve their ambition for a healthy planet, Sanofi’s goals are to reduce CO2 emissions, reduced waste, streamline water use and drug residues, and increase awareness of climate change and its consequences on health. Since 2010, Sanofi has reduced CO2 emissions 19.4 percent, decreased energy consumption by 13.6 percent and reduced water consumption by 18.3 percent. Knowing this progress and dedication towards a healthier planet, Camfil’s Tech Centre sought to demonstrate their abilities to aid in Sanofi’s ambitions with their same commitment for the environment, expertise in the filtration industry and product line for the pharmaceutical industry.
The Tech Centre topics included the new ISO 16890, Camfil’s ProSafe Range, Life Cycle Cost (LCC) case studies, live product testing and comparison of Camfil’s filters with competitors’ filters. There were also live demonstrations of products pertaining to the pharmaceutical industry including CamCube AS, CamSafe 3, Quad Pulse Package, CleanSeal and PharmaSeal.
