Camfil China Laboratory Receives CNAS Accreditation in Accordance with ISO/IEC 17025

Shanghai, China – March 24,2026 – Camfil’s laboratory in China has received accreditation from the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories.

CNAS is the national body responsible for accrediting laboratories, certification bodies, and inspection organisations in China. This accreditation confirms that testing at the facility is carried out using approved methods, calibrated equipment, and controlled processes that meet international requirements.

This accreditation means that testing performed at the Camfil China laboratory is independently verified and aligned with recognised standards. Test results are validated, and measurement uncertainties are assessed to provide reliable data for product evaluation, compliance, and decision-making. Camfil test results are now accepted globally without additional testing.

Part of Camfil’s Global Laboratory Network

The laboratory is the third Camfil facility to achieve ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, following Trosa, Sweden, and Ipoh, Malaysia, which were certified by their respective local accreditation bodies in recent years.

This shows Camfil’s continued investment in building strong laboratory capabilities in the region. The China laboratory supports a wide range of testing requirements and is regularly updated to stay aligned with international standards, technological developments, and changing market needs.

Laboratory Capabilities

The China facility supports both product development and customer testing. Its capabilities enable consistent and reliable evaluation of materials and finished products against defined quality and performance requirements.

Certified HEPA Leak and Environmental Testing

In alignment with China’s national cleanroom standard GB 50591 (Code for Construction and Acceptance of Cleanrooms), the China laboratory supports cleanroom compliance through HEPA leak testing, verifying filter performance using validated procedures and calibrated equipment.

The China team also provides on-site environmental testing to support customer assessments. These services complement laboratory-based testing by enabling verification and analysis directly at customer sites, in line with applicable standards and controlled testing practices. Where relevant, GB 50591 requirements are included within the laboratory’s CNAS-accredited scope.

Camfil also maintains established manufacturing quality practices across its production processes. As part of standard quality control, all HEPA filters undergo 100% leak testing prior to delivery, supporting consistent product performance and reliability.

Supporting Customers with Verified Testing

With CNAS accreditation, the China laboratory can offer testing services that are formally recognised and aligned with international standards. This ensures that testing is based on verified data, controlled methods, and transparent reporting in line with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.

The accreditation also strengthens the technical capability of Camfil’s China laboratory, supporting consistent testing quality and confidence in the services delivered to customers.
