Camfil publishes 2025 Sustainability Report

Stockholm, Sweden – 9 June 2026 – Camfil has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, outlining how the company is reducing its environmental impact while helping customers do the same.

The report shows steady progress across energy use, emissions, and product performance. It also reflects a more structured approach to circularity and stronger expectations on suppliers and partners.

“Expectations are rising – from customers, regulators, and our own people,” says Mark Simmons, President and CEO of Camfil. “That means we need to keep improving how we measure, manage and reduce our impact.”

What stands out in 2025

  • Emissions from operations are down compared to the 2023 baseline, mainly driven by energy savings, solar installations, and increased use of low‑carbon electricity
  • A growing share of Camfil’s filters are designed to use less energy during operation – now representing more than 70% of the portfolio
  • Continued progress on waste and resource use, with more focus on reuse, recycling, and reducing raw materials
  • More structured work with suppliers, including clearer targets for ESG performance and transparency across the value chain

Why it matters

Most of the environmental impact from air filtration happens during use – how much energy is needed to move air through the filter. That is why energy efficiency remains the single biggest lever, both for Camfil and its customers.

Clean air is also moving higher up the agenda globally, linked not only to health but also to productivity and building performance. This is driving more demand for solutions that deliver both better air quality and lower energy use.

Looking ahead

The report makes it clear where Camfil will focus next. The company is continuing to work towards its 2030 climate targets, with most of the impact coming from improving product efficiency and reducing emissions across the value chain.

This includes scaling up energy-efficient solutions, expanding circular design and material use, and working more closely with suppliers to improve data and performance.

There is also a stronger focus on transparency—both in how results are measured and how progress is shared.

“We know where we can make the biggest difference,” says Simmons. “It comes down to better products, better data, and staying consistent in how we work with our customers and partners.”
