Stringer Cracks Successfully Repaired on Boeing B747-8i
EuroAirport, 16.05.2025 – AMAC Aerospace is proud to announce that it has successfully completed a repair of stringer cracks on a Boeing B747-8i. A total of 53 cracks were discovered in the stringers during a maintenance check by AMAC Aerospace’s technicians.
Thanks to AMAC Aerospace’s in-house workshops, the repair could begin immediately, without any delay for parts. AMAC Aerospace’s sheet metal department produced all of the parts for the repair on site, which each were unique in its shape.
The maintenance input was carried out in close communication with Boeing for each individual finding. AMAC Aerospace anticipates an increase in this type of work and is already finalizing a second stringer repair project kit for another Boeing B747-8i.
