Den globala snacksjätten, Mondelēz, med ikoniska varumärken som Marabou, Oreo-kakor och Ritz-kex, uppmanade start-ups att skicka in sina teknologilösningar för en chans att tillbringa åtta veckor med ett internationellt team av experter med målsättningen att stötta bolagen i deras resa framåt. Tio företag valdes ut, varav tre från Sverige — Enginzyme, Enjay Systems och Yangi.
Enjay, ett Malmöbaserat företag inriktat på energiåtervinning, upplever just nu en kraftig tillväxt i Europa. Deras lösning för energiåtervinning i smutsig frånluft finns nu i drift på sju marknader i Europa.
Enjay har utsetts till årets vinnare av Malmö stads näringslivspris inom miljö och hållbarhet. Bolaget har tidigare mottagit sex internationella klimatutmärkelser, men detta är första gången det prisas på hemmaplan. Enjays första innovation Lepido har potential att minska de årliga globala utsläppen av fossil koldioxid med en procent.
Swedish cleantech company Enjay, with sales office in The Netherlands, has just received the German climate award PERPETUUM ENERGIEEFFIZIENZPREIS 2020. The prize is awarded by DENEFF, an independent cross-industry network of frontrunner companies within the German energy sector. Every year, DENEFF awards one innovation considered to make a significant contribution to the current energy transition.
Malmöbaserade Enjay och deras innovation Lepido har mottagit första pris i den tyska energi och klimat-tävlingen DENEFF PERPETUUM ENERGIEEFFIZIENZPREIS 2020. I och med detta har Enjay under 2020 mottagit sex olika klimatutmärkelser, vara fyra internationella. Innovationen har potential att minska de globala fossila utsläppen av CO2 med 500 mega ton per år.
Malmö based clean tech company Enjay has, in competition with 650 other European businesses, reached the final round of one of the largest global climate efficiency challenges, the Postcode Lottery Green Challenge 2020. Enjay, one of only six participants to reach the final round, has developed the world’s first profitable energy recycling unit, specially adapted for restaurant ventilation.
Lepido by Enjay was attributed the “Solar Impulse Efficient Solution” Label following an assessment performed by external independent experts and based on verified standards. It is thereby joining the #1000solutions challenge, an initiative by the Solar Impulse Foundation to select solutions that meet high standards in profitability and sustainability.
Enjay is a Swedish cleantech company, specialized in energy efficiency. The company´s first solution, Lepido, is the first in the world to offer profitable energy recycling from restaurant ventilation. The innovation enables reducing the annual emissions of CO2 by 500 million metric tons, one entire percent of the projected world-wide CO2 emissions by 2050.
Enjay has also commenced efforts to identify and streamline other areas where the same principle can be applied. The company’s overall mission is to put an end to wasting energy, because the cleanest form of energy is the one never produced.
