Cruise call in Malmö

Tomorrow, September 1, we are happy to welcome the cruise ship Europa 2, to the cruise terminal in Malmö. The corona pandemic has had a huge negative impact on the cruise season 2020 with almost 100 % cancellations. Some cruise lines are now offering smaller cruises with a limited number of passengers.

The cruise line Hapag Lloyd is one of them. They have launched cruises with its beautiful cruise ship, Europa 2, from Helgoland in Germany to Malmö. After the call in Sweden, the cruise ship heads back to Germany and Holteneau.

Europa 2 carries approximately 500 passengers but given the circumstances the limit is now 60 per cent of the normal level. 140 passengers will visit Malmö tomorrow, all of them from Germany. Except passengers, the ship is carrying 100 crew members compared to the usual 370.

The cruise ship is here during the day and will leave Malmö in the afternoon/early evening.
