The second Ship-to-Shore (STS) crane has now arrived in Copenhagen

CMP has now received the second and final STS crane for the new container terminal in Ydre Nordhavn. The crane arrived from Konecranes in Finland and was unloaded next to the first STS crane, which was received in April.

The two STS cranes are central to the new container terminal, which is expected to open during the autumn of 2025. The terminal will increase cargo handling capacity and strengthen CMP’s position as an important hub for international maritime transport and secirity of supply.

Terminal operations will be carried out without the use of fossil fuels – a key element in CMP’s ambition to achieve net-zero CO₂ emissions by 2025.
