Aroundtown steigert BREEAM-Bewertung für Frankfurter Büro Center auf „Sehr gut“
FBC in Frankfurt erhält verbesserte Rezertifizierung
Das Frankfurter Büro Center (FBC) an der Mainzer Landstraße 40–46 aus dem Portfolio von Aroundtown, wurde erfolgreich mit dem BREEAM- Zertifikat „Sehr gut“ rezertifiziert. Die Rezertifizierung würdigt die kontinuierlichen Investitionen von Aroundtown in die nachhaltige Weiterentwicklung der Immobilie und bestätigt die Wirksamkeit der umfangreichen Maßnahmen zur ökologischen, wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Optimierung des Gebäudebestands. Das Gebäude wurde in den letzten Jahren in Zusammenarbeit mit dem aktuellen Mieter gezielt modernisiert.
Das FBC liegt im Zentrum von Frankfurt, nur wenige Gehminuten vom Hauptbahnhof entfernt, und bietet damit eine hervorragende Anbindung an den öffentlichen Nah- und Fernverkehr sowie eine attraktive Lage im Frankfurter Bankenviertel. Das FBC ist ein Beispiel dafür, wie bestehende Immobilien durch gezielte Sanierungen und ein ganzheitliches Nutzungskonzept modernisiert und an heutige Anforderungen angepasst werden können. Sanierte Klima- und Lüftungsanlagen, modernisierte Fahrstühle, eine neue Kantine sowie eine strukturierte Neuorganisation der Etagen schaffen flexible, nutzerspezifische Raumkonzepte.

Aroundtown raises BREEAM rating for Frankfurt office center to “Very good”: FBC in Frankfurt receives improved recertification
The Frankfurt Office Center (FBC) at Mainzer Landstrasse 40-46 from Aroundtown's portfolio has been successfully recertified with the BREEAM “Very good” certificate. The recertification acknowledges Aroundtown's continuous investment in the sustainable development of the property and confirms the effectiveness of the extensive measures taken to optimize the ecological, economic and social aspects of the building stock. The building has been systematically modernized in recent years in cooperation with the current tenant.
The FBC is located in the center of Frankfurt, just a few minutes' walk from the main railway station, and thus offers excellent connections to local and long-distance public transport as well as an attractive location in Frankfurt's banking district. The FBC is an example of how existing properties can be modernized and adapted to today's requirements through targeted refurbishment and a holistic usage concept. Refurbished air conditioning and ventilation systems, modernized elevators, a new canteen and a structured reorganization of the floors create flexible, user-specific room concepts.
In addition to the technical renovations, the current tenant requested an in-house daycare center in a separate building with a secure playground. The facility, which was awarded an architecture prize in 2022, is an example of the commitment to family-friendly infrastructure and future-oriented working environments.
