ENERTRAG Inaugurates Mattheshöhe Wind Farm

With the ceremonial inauguration of the Mattheshöhe wind field last Friday, ENERTRAG set another milestone for renewable energy supply in the Uckermark region. Six new ENERCON E138 wind turbines complement the existing field and will supply clean electricity for thousands of households in future. They are part of the Uckermark integrated power plant, in which ENERTRAG intelligently combines wind and solar power with storage solutions such as hydrogen - for a secure and sustainable energy supply in the region. In this way, the region is not only making its contribution to power generation, but also demonstrating how the energy transition can be implemented in practice: decentralized, reliable and close to the people.

In addition to the presentation of the new wind turbines, the festive program also included an insight into the future technology of hydrogen. A mobile PtX trailer on site clearly demonstrated how ENERTRAG uses electricity from wind power to produce hydrogen - a key element for the climate-neutral energy supply of tomorrow.

"The commissioning of the six wind turbines in the Mattheshöhe project is emblematic of what characterizes the Uckermark: Pioneering spirit, reliability and future strength. Together with our integrated power plant, we are making a strong contribution to a secure energy supply and the energy transition throughout Germany from here," says Tom Lange, Head of Development Wind & PV Germany at ENERTRAG.
