Start of the Tender Process for the Hydrogen Data Hub

At the end of 2025, Trading Hub Europe GmbH (THE) was appointed as the market area manager for hydrogen and has since been driving the implementation of the corresponding regulations of the Federal Network Agency.

A key element, and a new one in this form, is the establishment of a Data Hub, which will play a crucial role in market communication and processing in the hydrogen market. The tender documents for this have been published on the German Procurement Portal. The launch of the tender marks another important milestone.

THE is counting on broad market interest and high participation from potential providers to attract high-performance and innovative solutions. The Data Hub is to be established by July 1, 2027, and tested with market participants in an introductory phase until January 1, 2028.
