Wuppertal Municipal Utilities Expands Vehicle Fleet by 32 Hydrogen Buses

The Wuppertaler Stadtwerke (Wuppertal municipal utilities) are expanding their fleet of local public transport vehicles with zero-emission hydrogen buses. A further 32 vehicles will be added to the existing 20 over the next few months. Some of the buses were already delivered at the beginning of November. In total, the future 52 hydrogen vehicles will save around 2200 tons of CO2 per year. The new hydrogen buses will be used on various routes in the Wuppertal city area from 2025.

This pioneering acquisition is an important part of WSW's long-term strategy to promote environmentally friendly and sustainable mobility solutions.
