eMove - Winner of Red Dot Product Design Award 2022

eMove is a solid and user-friendly portable Mode 2 charger developed and manufactured by DEFA. The product is already launched in Europe, and the production capacity is fully booked. Now, the product is awarded the Red Dot Product Design Award 2022.

Statement by The Red Dot jury; The single-button control and practical cable management give this sleekly designed charger excellent usability

‘We strive to develop products that are durable, efficient and user-friendly, with a sleek Nordic design. We want to make the daily life of EV owners easier and more predictable, says Martin Jonsson, Vice President of DEFA e-mobility. ‘Therefore, we are very proud that Red Dot is awarding eMove a Product Design Award. Red Dot is the most prestigious design recognition a brand can get’.

This portable charger is developed with the user in mind, in close cooperation with the Norwegian design agency, Work AS. The single-button, easy-to-read user interface makes operation very simple. The compact aluminum housing is solid and durable. Clever cable management ensures that cables can be stored easily and transported conveniently. The integrated thermal sensors ensure safe operation even in demanding climates.

‘Everyone owning an EV can tell that a portable charger is a necessity’, continues Jonsson, ‘giving the freedom to charge everywhere’.

eMove is available in several European markets through retail outlets and webshops.
