Danish Win at Spa: Conrad Laursen Takes Class Victory in 24-Hour Race
The 19-year-old Ferrari driver reached the highlight of his career so far with a commanding class win in this year’s edition of the legendary 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.
Conrad Laursen secured the biggest trophy of his career to date on Sunday afternoon, as he and his teammates from Kessel Racing clinched a class victory in the iconic 24-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps. The Swiss outfit claimed victory in the Bronze Cup class, having remained at the front of the field throughout the entire race.
"This is a fantastic achievement that the whole team can be proud of. Everyone delivered brilliantly this weekend – both drivers and crew. We managed to run a consistent race without issues or mistakes, and that’s the recipe for victory here at Spa," said Conrad Laursen.
It marks Laursen’s second win of the 2025 season. Alongside American Dustin Blattner and German Dennis Marschall, he also triumphed in the season opener of the GT World Challenge at Paul Ricard in the spring. For the Belgian classic at Spa-Francorchamps, the trio was joined by Canadian driver Zacharie Robichon.
The team showed their strength early on, securing fourth place in final qualifying and running consistently at the top of the Bronze Cup field from the start of the race – even overtaking several teams from the faster Silver Cup and Gold Cup categories.
Laursen delivered standout performances in the demanding race – notably when he took over the car during a crucial night stint on Sunday, charging from third to first in class. The win also strengthens the team’s lead in the GT World Challenge championship.
"We had a strong line-up this weekend, everyone performed at their best, and I’m really pleased with my own performance as well. We arrived at Spa-Francorchamps with high ambitions, and it’s an amazing feeling to achieve the best result we could have hoped for," the Dane added.
Next up for Conrad Laursen is the third round of the European Le Mans Series, taking place at Imola, Italy, on July 6.
