Pressemeddelelse -
Sant Jordi 2022
23 April is Saint George’s Day (in Catalan, Sant Jordi) and also the UNESCO World Book and Copyright Day, when love and literature are celebrated massively throughout Catalonia and, more and more, in many other places around the world. People exchange #BooksAndRoses on this day as a sign of gratitude. In just one day, in Catalonia, more than 1.5 million books and 6 million roses are sold.
In case you can’t make it to Catalunya this year, the Catalan Community in Denmark has prepared some activities to enjoy #BooksAndRoses together on Sunday 24th April from 14:00h to 17:00h in Copenhagen.
They will begin with a book exchange followed by a rose workshop which they encourage everybody to participate in, so everyone can receive a Sant Jordi book as a gift.
At the end, everybody will have the opportunity to train their “castellers” (Catalan human castles) skills.
There will be coffee, juices, and chocolate milkshakes for all attendees.
