HUAWEI WATCH D3 now available in Denmark – medically certified blood pressure measurement directly from the wrist
As of today, 12 October, Huawei Watch D3 is available from selected retailers in Denmark. To mark the start of sales, customers can also receive a DKK 300 discount during the launch period.
Huawei Watch D3 is designed for users who want to gain a better understanding of their health, both in everyday life and in connection with exercise. The watch combines medically certified blood pressure measurement with a wide range of health and sports features in a wrist-worn format, making it easier to follow changes in the body over time. It is compatible with both iOS and Android.[1]
Blood pressure measurement whenever and wherever it suits you
Huawei Watch D3 is a CE-marked medical device under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR). A mechanical airbag is built into the strap and inflates around the wrist in a similar way to a traditional blood pressure cuff worn around the upper arm.
The watch uses an oscillometric measurement method, which means that it registers changes in pressure caused by blood flow as the airbag slowly deflates. This allows blood pressure to be measured directly from the wrist.
For users, this means blood pressure can be measured at home, at work or in connection with exercise, without the need to carry a separate blood pressure monitor.[2]
A clearer picture of blood pressure throughout the day and night
Blood pressure is not a constant value and can be affected by factors including sleep, stress, work, physical activity and rest. A single measurement therefore only provides a snapshot of blood pressure at that particular moment.
Huawei Watch D3 offers ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), with blood pressure measured automatically at regular intervals during both the day and night. The results are compiled into clear overviews showing average values and variations during the day, at night and across the full 24-hour period. This makes it easier to follow how blood pressure changes in different situations and over time.
The watch can also measure blood pressure before and after physical activity. Before a workout, users can receive a reminder to take a measurement, followed by another measurement after the activity to help track the body's response.[3]
Multiple health features in one device on the wrist
In addition to blood pressure measurement, Huawei Watch D3 offers several features for tracking health and wellbeing. Health Glance can compile up to eleven different health indicators in around 60 seconds. The watch also supports ECG, heart rate, HRV, sleep analysis and Physical Readiness Score.
Huawei Watch D3 offers more than 100 workout modes and features a 1.92-inch AMOLED display. The watch weighs approximately 40 grams, offers up to six days of battery life and is compatible with both iOS and Android.
The watch is not a substitute for medical assessment or diagnosis, but it can make it easier to collect measurements in everyday life and create a report that can be shared with a doctor or other healthcare professional.
