Kunsthal Charlottenborg’s new foyer, developed in collaboration with atelier axo, draws on the building’s architectural and design history to create a contemporary space for arriving, meeting and spending time. Historical references have been reinterpreted as new furniture, materials and functions, offering new ways to enter, experience and inhabit the building.

25. september åbner Kunsthal Charlottenborg efterårssæsonen med tre nye soloudstillinger af Amalie Smith, Jochen Lempert og Som Supaparinya. Samtidig indvies kunsthallens nyindrettede foyer, udviklet i samarbejde med atelier axo. Åbningsaftenen byder på live-musik af CEVIL samt DJ-sets med Mads Axelsen og Atusa, og der er gratis entré.

Through video installations, archival materials, documentary- and field research, Reroute: connects overlooked histories from Southeast Asia to contemporary questions of power, ecology, and geopolitics.

Danish visual artist and author Amalie Smith (b. 1985) presents her most comprehensive solo exhibition to date, Levende, created specifically for the North Wing of Kunsthal Charlottenborg. Through a series of sculptural installations and an immersive sound work, the exhibition explores the origins of life and the traces, patterns and transformations that living beings leave behind in the world.

This autumn, Kunsthal Charlottenborg presents three solo exhibitions by Amalie Smith, Jochen Lempert and Som Supaparinya. Across installation, photography and video, the artists explore the relationships between people, nature, knowledge and the structures that shape contemporary society.
Til efteråret præsenterer Kunsthal Charlottenborg tre soloudstillinger med Amalie Smith, Jochen Lempert og Som Supaparinya. På tværs af installation, fotografi og video undersøger kunstnerne forholdet mellem mennesker, natur, viden og de strukturer, der former vores samtid.
Fra 29. juni til 16. august holder Kunsthal Charlottenborg ekstraordinært åbent om mandagen kl. 11–19. Det betyder, at publikum i sommerferien kan besøge kunsthallen alle ugens dage og opleve de aktuelle udstillinger Afgang 2026 og Pani, so tradeł / Water that Wanders af Małgorzata Mirga-Tas.
