I anledning af CPH:DOX præsenterer Kunsthal Charlottenborg en soloudstilling med Thao Nguyen Phan. Billedkunstneren, der er internationalt anerkendt for at kombinere levende billeder med maleri og skulptur, skaber drømmeagtige og poetiske fortællinger og beskæftiger sig med presserende spørgsmål omkring hendes hjemlands historie i forhold til nutidige miljømæssige og sociale forandringer.
Kunsthal Charlottenborg announces its exhibition program for the new year, featuring internationally recognized artists such as Thao Nguyen Phan, Simon Dybbroe Møller, Francis Upritchard, a large-scale exhibition on artificial intelligence as well as a large number of talents and established stars from both Denmark and abroad.
Kunsthal Charlottenborg offentliggør sit udstillingsprogram for det nye år, der byder på internationalt anerkendte kunstnere, som Thao Nguyen Phan, Simon Dybbroe Møller, Francis Upritchard, en stor anlagt udstilling om kunstig intelligens samt en lang række talenter og etablerede stjerner fra både ind- og udland.
I efteråret præsenterer Kunsthal Charlottenborg eventrækken Nye krige, nye billeder som gennem film og debat vil forsøge at kaste nye blikke på krig med udgangspunkt i tre film af tyske Harun Farocki – en af Europas mest markante filmkunstnere. Over tre aftenener præsenteres Farockis filmværker efterfulgt af talks med fagfolk og forskere.
Jakob Engel-Schmidt har snart været Danmarks kulturminister i et år. Hvilke erfaringer har han gjort sig og hvordan ser kunsten og kulturens fremtid ud fra hans synspunkt? Det er spørgsmålet, når Charlottenborgs Kaffeklub bringer kunstfeltet og kulturministeren sammen for at styrke de kunstpolitiske visioner.
Tag familien med og oplev kunsthallens nyåbnede udstillinger igennem en række inspirerende workshops. Her får de besøgende mulighed for at tegne og male plantearter, gå på kunstskattejagt og komme med deres helt eget bud på kunsthistorien.
Kunsthal Charlottenborg celebrates its 140th anniversary in 2023. The occasion is marked by this autumn’s major exhibition Full of Days, which presents a range of all-new, specially commissioned works that respond directly to Charlottenborg’s history as an exhibition venue with no collection and no historical archive.

Stillingen som direktør på Kunsthal Charlottenborg blev slået op i foråret 2023, da den eksisterende åremålsansættelse udløb. Ansættelsesprocessen er nu forbi, og et enigt ansættelsesudvalg har peget på Michael Thouber som kunsthallens fortsatte direktør.
Kunsthal Charlottenborg Biennale is an international art exhibition on streets, train stations and bus stops all over Denmark. In the 2023 edition, the biennale will also occupy a store in central Copenhagen with a special display of the pioneering work AIDS by the legendary artist group General Idea.

This summer, Kunsthal Charlottenborg presents the most extensive solo show to date featuring Danish artist Alexander Tovborg. With the exhibition The Church, he transforms the entire south wing into an immersive installation which uses the idea of the church space as its architectural and conceptual framework.
Til sommer præsenterer Kunsthal Charlottenborg den hidtil mest omfattende soloudstilling med den danske kunstner Alexander Tovborg. Med udstillingen Kirken omdanner han kunsthallens store sydfløj til en totalinstallation med kirkens rum som arkitektonisk og konceptuel ramme. Her undersøger kunstneren kirkens mystik, troens paradokser og billeders magt.
