The exhibition Disobedience Archive (The Open Storage) presents a wide-ranging collection of video works that, through different historical, geographical and social perspectives, map various artistic resistance tactics from the 1970s onwards. The exhibition is part of the HUMAN:RIGHTS initiative, focusing on human rights, and is presented in collaboration with the CPH:DOX film festival.

This March, Kunsthal Charlottenborg opens the first presentation in Denmark of Istanbul-based visual artist Banu Cennetoğlu. Arranged in connection with the documentary film festival CPH:DOX, the exhibition showcases Cennetoğlu’s keen interest in how the production and distribution of text and image-based information shape our world.
I marts åbner Kunsthal Charlottenborg dørene for den første præsentation af den Istanbul-baserede billedkunstner Banu Cennetoğlu i Danmark i forbindelse med CPH:DOX. Cennetoğlus værker afspejler et stærkt engagement i hvordan produktionen og distributionen af tekst- og billedbaseret information er med til at forme vores verden.
Siden 2017 har Kunsthal Charlottenborg fungeret som hovedkvarter for den internationale dokumentarfilmfestival CPH:DOX. For 168. gang inviterer Charlottenborg Fonden til Charlottenborg Forårsudstilling på Kunsthal Charlottenborg og præsenterer dette års antagne kunstnere og kunstnergrupper.

The opening is celebrated with a talk with the Danish artist and professor in sculpture which work has been influential both to his contemporaries on the German art scene, and to younger generations of artists in Copenhagen, where he currently holds a position at The Royal Academy of Arts.

Kunsthal Charlottenborg presents Thick & Thin, a survey of the work of Danish artist and Sculpture School Professor Simon Dybbroe Møller from the past twenty years. The exhibition is the most comprehensive overview of Dybbroe Møller’s practice to date and includes several new works as well as earlier ones that have been restaged and reconfigured for the exhibition.
